Maintenance Leadership That Connects Strategy to Execution

• I've spent more than three decades inside trucking and transportation maintenance operations, working directly in fleet shops where PM compliance, technician performance, parts control, equipment uptime, and maintenance cost discipline determine fleet reliability. My work has always been grounded in execution—how the shop runs every day determines success. I earned my way up the chain. I began with Overnite Transportation Company as a tire changer and worked my way up through technician, shop supervisor, and maintenance management roles. I truly have worked from the ground level to the executive office.
• I have contributed to companies such as Overnite Transportation, J.B. Hunt Transport, Stevens Transport, Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Builders Transportation, Southwestern Motor Transport and Jones Logistics. I have been responsible for maintenance performance, fleet reliability, and maintenance cost control, acquisition to disposition.
• My work is not advisory work and it is not theoretical. I work inside the maintenance operation alongside leadership and their shop teams to restore discipline, consistency, and accountability. The focus is practical: Assess PM compliance, stabilize maintenance processes, train technicians, execute preventive maintenance programs.
• My asset & maintenance experience spans the full asset & maintenance lifecycle—Cradle to grave; preventive maintenance programs, parts inventory management, technician hiring and development, vendor relationships, compliance, maintenance cost control, and fleet uptime. I've overseen and led maintenance departments through periods where equipment reliability, maintenance cost discipline, and PM execution were critical. 
• Over time, I've learned maintenance problems rarely stem from lack of technician effort. They occur when PM execution breaks down, maintenance priorities blur, and shop discipline erodes. When that happens, equipment downtime increases, parts costs spiral, emergency repairs multiply, and fleet operations suffer.
• My role is to step in before those patterns become entrenched.
• I work directly with maintenance leadership and executive teams to re-establish clear maintenance expectations, enforce consistent PM execution, and build maintenance systems & processes that hold up under daily operational pressure—so maintenance departments can deliver predictable uptime and control costs.
• I have been a part of the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) for more than 25 years. I have chaired the S.5 and the S.2 Study Groups. I have led many technical sessions and been a frequent guest panelist for technical sessions. I have been featured in Transport Topics, CCJ Magazine and Fleet Maintenance Magazine, where my work and maintenance expertise have been showcased.

How I Work

• This is not consulting.
• I operate as hands-on maintenance leadership, embedded in the asset & maintenance operation. The focus is execution—what must change to improve PM compliance, equipment uptime, parts control, maintenance costs, and technician performance, Total Lifecycle Management of the Assets.
• I don't deliver presentations. I help maintenance operations execute better, day after day.
