Ken has been responsible for many thousands of vehicles through what he terms "cradle to grave" management, which includes Operations, Safety/Risk, Acquisition, Maintenance, and Disposition. His success in asset roles ultimately led to a COO position, allowing him to lead at a higher level and drive fleet performance.
● Ken is a proven leader who believes that everything rises and falls on leadership, making the stabilization of teams a core competency.
● Skilled in analyzing data, Ken acts on reportable data to improve processes and outcomes.
● He writes processes, trains people to adhere to these processes, and ensures they execute with excellence.
● Ken builds teams that understand the ultimate goal: meeting the customer’s needs. It is always about having the right people on the team, trained to deliver outstanding results while focusing on the customer. In an age where technology and data have become the focus, he emphasizes that people are still the main ingredient, whether they are truck drivers, data entry personnel, technicians, or those providing emergency roadside services.
● Beginning his career in 1987 with Overnite Transportation, Ken has grown professionally and contributed to successful companies such as J.B. Hunt, Stevens Transport, Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Jones Logistics and Southwestern Motor Transport.

● His favorite saying from his years of experience is, "the floor is where the rubber meets the road." Ken believes in management by walking about (MBWA), meeting people where they are.
● Since 2003, Ken has been a member of the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC), serving as chairperson of the S.5 and S.2 Study Groups and participating in several technical sessions.
● He has also been featured as a subject matter expert in industry publications such as Fleet Maintenance Magazine, CCJ Magazine, and Transport Topics, further establishing his expertise in transportation consulting.
Ken launched K.M.E. Services in 2020. In the midst of the COVID pandemic, it was clear that transportation and trucking was undergoing an embedded operational transformation, and we could no longer afford to rely on past methods. While our previous success had been commendable, we recognized that the strategies that had driven our fleet performance were no longer sufficient. I observed that many fleets were slow to react during a time that demanded swift action, as technology had created new opportunities. Unfortunately, fleets were lagging behind in this crucial transformation process, highlighting the need for effective transportation consulting.
At K.M.E. Services, we don’t just provide transportation consulting — we embed operational transformation into your fleet performance. Acting as your Embedded Operational Transformation Lead for Maintenance & Safety, we roll up our sleeves and work alongside you to create lasting change. From stabilizing a distressed fleet to preparing for scalable growth, we help you uncover hidden risks, implement actionable systems, and build operational habits that last. We are a "Builder of Systems" rather than just a thought partner. Our "Rapid Triage Framework": financial scan, compliance check, maintenance readiness, vendor relationships review will set the tone for our "trust-first brand" that says: “We don’t tell you what you want to hear. We tell you what you need to hear—and help you fix it.”
K.M.E. Services, with more than 38 years of real experience on the ground, in the shop, in the office, in the boardroom, are maintenance operations and safety strategist who utilize advanced AI tools to uncover hidden costs, improve compliance, and build profit-focused systems. Most trucking leaders don’t trust tech on its own. They trust people who’ve been there, done that.
Our Proposition:
Our advantage comes from marrying AI with our decades of hard-won trucking wisdom, tackling problems others avoid, and wrapping it into your operations, to solve your problems.
